Arya Permana’s transformation is one of the most widely shared health journeys from Indonesia. As a child, he reached around 200 kilograms at just 11 years old, a condition that severely limited his mobility and daily life. He struggled with basic movement and often remained indoors, unable to participate in normal childhood activities such as attending school regularly or playing outside with other children.

Doctors confirmed that there was no rare medical disorder behind his weight gain. Instead, it was mainly linked to long-term overeating and a highly sedentary lifestyle. Over time, his condition worsened to the point where even simple physical activity became extremely difficult, and concerns about his long-term health increased significantly.
With medical supervision and strong family support, Arya began a structured journey toward better health. This included changes to his eating habits, controlled diet plans, and gradual physical activity designed to match his abilities. As his weight decreased, he also underwent surgery to remove excess skin, which helped improve his mobility and comfort as his body changed.

By his early teens, Arya had lost more than half of his original body weight and regained much of his independence. He could move more freely, engage in outdoor activities, and slowly return to a more active lifestyle, including playing football. His story is often shared as an example of how consistent effort, medical guidance, and long-term commitment can lead to meaningful and lasting improvements in health and quality of life.
